Border Collie and owner win British Open for Large Dogs Agility at Crufts 2013

Scoot, a seven year old Border Collie and handler Will Rolfe from Andover, Hampshire won the Kennel Club British Open for large dogs at the world’s greatest dog show, Crufts.

The international event saw the top large, medium and small dogs from different countries, which qualified at the KC International Agility Festival in August 2012, take to the ring to compete in the final.

Will and Scoot (KC name Nedlo Black Magic) won in the large dog category after competing at Crufts in both jumping and agility as they had the fewest combined faults in the fastest combined time, calculated over the two rounds of the final.

Proud handler Will said: “It was fabulous to win the British Open final. This was the second time we have won this final as we also won back when Scoot was two years old. It is such an honour to say we are twice British Open winners.”

Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary said: “Competing in this event are the top agility competitors from a number of different countries. It really made for an exciting event.

“We would like to congratulate Scoot and Will. He is such a lovely dog that clearly loves competing and has a great relationship with his handler.”

Crufts took place from 7 - 10 March 2013 at the NEC, Birmingham. For more information visit www.crufts.org.uk.
